Ox Alpha Records 28.0% in 175-Question Evaluation
Ox Alpha has been validated by the developer community at a free price. OpenRouter introduced Ox Alpha as a model for coding and production environments as of the 24th, pricing both input and output at 0 won per 1 million tokens. The model identifier is 'stealth/ox-alpha' with a context length of 1.05M. According to the independent introduction site oxalpha.com, Ox Alpha supports a context of 1,048,576 tokens and a maximum output of 131,072 tokens. It solved 8 out of 10 practical coding tasks, achieving 65% with Claude Fable 5, 62% with GLM-5, 52% with GPT-5, and 62% with Grok 4. However, in the 175-question evaluation by LiveCodeBench, Ox Alpha recorded a pass@1 rate of 28.0% with 49 correct answers. Claude Fable 5 is a model released by Anthropic on June 9, priced at $10 per 1 million tokens for input and $50 per 1 million tokens for output. There are ongoing speculations about the development entity behind Ox Alpha, initially thought to be the GLM series from China's Z.ai, with later mentions of Microsoft's MAI potential. In OpenRouter's coding model rankings for August 2026, Ox Alpha ranked second with 7.51T tokens. Usage differs from performance certification, and the free offering conditions may have increased initial call volumes.
