Google DeepMind Research Claims AI Collaboration Ability is Key to Economic Transformation

Researchers from Google DeepMind, Alex Imas, Andrew Koh, and Shane Legg, published a paper stating that the impact of individual AI capabilities on wages and prices is gradual. A market disruption in concentration, employment, and wages only occurs when the collaborative ability of multiple agents exceeds the "super-collaboration" threshold. The article categorizes AI development into four stages: minimal AGI, super-competent AI, super-collaborative AI, and ASI, emphasizing that current AI has strong individual capabilities but weak collaborative abilities, with changes in wages and jobs preceding structural changes in companies. The authors call for the establishment of benchmarks to measure the organizational capabilities of multiple agents.
