Citrea Acquires Bitcoin Privacy Mobile Wallet Crest
Bitcoin application layer Citrea has announced the acquisition of the Bitcoin privacy mobile wallet Crest, with the specific acquisition amount undisclosed. This acquisition aims to invest resources into the Bitcoin space and enhance user privacy standards. Crest founder Meliksah Gurtemel will join Citrea as the head of product. In the coming weeks, Crest will launch a new wallet featuring automatic masking, private BTC transfers, and seamless cross-chain registration capabilities, supporting private cross-chain exchanges that allow BTC to be privately paid to EVM addresses in USDC or ETH.
