Verkhovna Rada Approves Bill to Improve Industrial Parks
On September 2, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved bill No. 12117 aimed at enhancing the operation of industrial parks. The bill was supported by 270 deputies, surpassing the minimum requirement of 226 votes. The document is intended to create more effective conditions for the development of industry in Ukraine. As of the end of 2025, 37 factories are either built or under construction in industrial parks. The bill regulates the functions of entities within industrial parks, allows the initiator of the park's creation to be the managing company, introduces the concept of "eco-industrial park," and establishes criteria for them. It also regulates the procedures for expanding and reducing the area of parks, transferring ownership rights to land plots, and the possibility of creating new parks. The competitive procedures for selecting managing companies have been improved, and temporary restrictions for small electricity distribution systems have been lifted. It is worth noting that 4,712 jobs have been created in Ukraine's industrial parks.
