Ukrainians Attracted Nearly 12 Billion UAH in Grants Over Four Years of the 'Own Business' Program
Over four years of the 'Own Business' program, 42,000 Ukrainians received nearly 12 billion UAH for business development, creating more than 60,000 jobs. In the 15th wave of the program, 345 entrepreneurs will receive almost 118 million UAH for their projects, which will allow for the creation of 550 new jobs. In total, more than 38,000 entrepreneurs attracted 10 billion UAH, with an average grant size of 263,000 UAH. The main areas of grant utilization are: trade and auto repair (33%), hotel and restaurant business (14%), manufacturing industry (13%), healthcare and social assistance (6%), scientific and technical activities (6%). 61% of recipients are women, 39% are men, and 68% of applications are from individual entrepreneurs. The leading regions in distribution are Lviv region (13%) and Kyiv (8%). In frontline regions, 4,016 microgrants were issued for 1.7 billion UAH, 1,113 grants for youth under 25, and 535 for creative industries. The veteran support program, launched in April 2023, provided more than 3,500 defenders with nearly 2 billion UAH, creating over 5,000 jobs. 29 winners of the latest wave of the veteran direction will attract 13 million UAH.
