Trump Rejects Iran's New Negotiation Proposal, Keeps Negotiation Window Open
Trump has officially rejected the latest proposal submitted by Iran, but stated that discussions will still be maintained this week. The Qatari government is actively intervening to mediate, pushing Iran to make moderate concessions in sensitive areas to create conditions for the resumption of direct dialogue between the U.S. and Iran. The Iranian officials have declared that they will not change their established policies or soften their core demands due to Trump's rejection. Progress on nuclear-related terms will be a key variable in determining whether both sides can return to the negotiating table.
