Sam Price: Fed Eases October Rate Hike Concerns
According to Twitter user Sam Price, expectations for a rate hike rose briefly after the release of the 3.7% Consumer Price Index data. However, Fed officials Daly and Bowman indicated that more rate hikes may be necessary, but they are not in a hurry to act before the end of October meeting, awaiting more data. This has led to a decrease in expectations for a rate hike in October, with bond market pricing subsequently showing a roughly 30% probability of a rate hike. Nevertheless, persistent inflation remains a significant factor, and the likelihood of a hawkish surprise in the short term has diminished.
