Metro Jaya Police Stops Cryptocurrency Investment Fraud Case Involving Timothy Ronald
The Metro Jaya Police have halted the investigation into the alleged cryptocurrency investment fraud case involving influencer Timothy Ronald. This decision was made after investigators confirmed that there were no criminal elements in the report submitted by a complainant identified as Y. The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, stated that the cessation of the investigation was the result of a case review conducted in mid-September 2026. The investigators from Subdit I Ditressiber of the Metro Jaya Police stopped the investigation on September 14, 2026, after concluding that there was no criminal event in the report. This case originated from a report in early 2026, where the complainant Y claimed to have suffered financial losses after following investment recommendations in the Crypto Academy community managed by Timothy Ronald. The complainant purchased the cryptocurrency 'Manta' through a paid Discord group and suspected that there were unfulfilled profit promises. However, the case review stated that the existing evidence was insufficient to link the reported actions to a criminal offense. With the issuance of the Letter of Determination to Stop the Investigation, this case is declared closed, and the fluctuations in the cryptocurrency prices experienced by the complainant are not considered a criminal offense.
