Buenos Aires to Host the X Italy–Latin America SMEs Forum 2026
The city of Buenos Aires will host the X Italy–Latin America SMEs Forum 2026, which will take place on September 7 and 8 with the participation of governors, entrepreneurs, and over 500 Argentine and Italian industrialists. The forum aims to strengthen economic cooperation and generate new investment opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises. It will focus on integrating national SMEs into the value chains of strategic sectors such as energy, metalworking, agribusiness, fashion, digitalization, and automation. The initiative is promoted by ADIMRA and IILA, with the support of UIA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Argentine Agency for Investments and International Trade, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Argentina. During the event, there will be plenary sessions, B2B business rounds, specialized workshops, and technical visits to industrial establishments. On September 7, the opening will be led by Elio Del Re and Giorgio Silli. On the 8th, Horacio Marín, president and CEO of YPF, will participate in a panel on energy and development. Cases of SMEs will be presented, and cooperation for productive development between Argentina and Italy will be addressed. The manufacturing industry, with over 20,000 companies and around 300,000 direct jobs, is key to the Argentine economy. The forum seeks to reinforce the country's positioning as a platform for international industrial cooperation.
