Rosario Central and Racing draw 0-0 in the 2026 Clausura Tournament
Rosario Central drew 0-0 with Racing at the Gigante de Arroyito stadium in the second round of the 2026 Clausura Tournament. Central had the clearest opportunities but failed to score, while Racing took home a point as the visiting team. With this result, Racing occupies second place in Zone B with 4 points, following a 2-1 victory over Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata and the draw against Central. Rosario Central, on the other hand, is eleventh in the same zone with 1 point, after losing 2-1 to Belgrano in their debut. In the next round, Racing will face Tigre on Saturday at 8:30 PM, and Rosario Central will visit River Plate on Sunday at 7:15 PM. The match started evenly, but Central took control of the game. Racing had a clear opportunity with Lautaro Díaz, but goalkeeper Conan Ledesma prevented the goal. Santiago Solari also came close to scoring, but his shot hit the crossbar and a subsequent goal was disallowed for offside. In the second half, Facundo Mallo had a clear chance that was ruled out by VAR. The match lost intensity and both teams failed to capitalize. Central could not secure their first victory in the Clausura, while Racing maintained their unbeaten streak.
