Jun Song Rejects Invitation from Anonymous Black Hat Organization for Vulnerability Data Training
Open source AI practitioner Jun Song posted on X that he received a reinforcement learning request from an anonymous black hat organization yesterday, which offered a high payment to commission him for post-training on open-source weight models, with data sourced from exploit data. Jun Song also operates a hardware export business for data centers in South Korea and is advancing the project 0xSupergemma. He stated that the counterpart claimed to possess an unprecedented scale of attack data, and even if someone said it was a law enforcement agency's undercover dataset, he would believe it. In contrast, the white hat project he is involved in uses GLM-5.3, with a data volume of less than 1% of that scale, but its performance has significantly surpassed that of cutting-edge models. Jun Song has rejected the request and is concerned that others may accept this deal.
