iPhone Security Alert: Vulnerability Exposes Your Cryptocurrencies
A security vulnerability on iPhones exposes users' cryptocurrencies. iPhone holders are warned of an exploit chain capable of stealing sensitive data, such as private keys and recovery phrases, without users noticing. This alert comes from cybersecurity experts who identify a social engineering procedure prompting victims to open a malicious page in Safari. This page exploits a flaw in WebKit/JavaScriptCore, allowing unauthorized access to data. Attackers can thus extract information from the iOS keychain and crypto wallet applications. iPhone versions from iOS 13 to iOS 26.5 may be affected, although this scope has not been fully confirmed. To protect themselves, it is advised to update their devices and avoid opening untrusted links in Safari, especially if wallet keys or recovery phrases are stored on the phone.
