Bitcoin active addresses have decreased by 43% over approximately two years, with the 30-day moving average at 629000 as of Nov. 1, down from a peak of 1100000 in December 2024. This figure also fell 1% in the past week. In contrast, Bitcoin's transfer volume has only declined by 5.4%, now at 819000 BTC, down from 865000 BTC on Dec. 10, 2024. The current active address count is about 10% below the annual average of 702000. A recovery to this level would indicate increased network activity. While the transfer volume decreased by 2.5% over the past week, it remains 5.5% above the annual average of 776000 BTC, indicating that the decline in transfer volume is less significant than the drop in active addresses.
