ANAP Holdings Welcomes Bitcoin Expert Akira Higashi to Advisory Board
Strengthening Bitcoin Business
On the 22nd, ANAP Holdings announced that Bitcoin expert Akira Higashi will join its advisory board. Higashi serves as the Japan brand ambassador for Blockstream and has supported financial institutions and businesses in entering the Bitcoin market as the representative of Diamond Hands, a B2B consulting firm specializing in Bitcoin.
ANAP aims to realize a society where Bitcoin is not only "held" but also "used," and is expanding into business areas such as payments, RWA, corporate finance, and education. This participation aims to leverage Higashi's practical knowledge and global network to advance these businesses to the next stage.
Achievements as Blockstream Japan Ambassador
Higashi has been involved with Bitcoin full-time since 2014 and has hosted the international conference "Bitcoin Tokyo 2024," featuring key Blockstream members such as Adam Back.
He has also engaged in activities connecting Bitcoin with Japan's economy and society, including sessions with Yusuke Narita, and his expertise and network within the industry have led to his appointment.
ANAP's President Rintaro Kawai commented on Higashi's participation, stating, "The world's highest level of knowledge and network will be added to ANAP." The company has previously advanced its business transformation centered on Bitcoin through initiatives such as the "ANAP Bitcoin Dojo," technical collaboration with Blockstream, and educational partnerships with Plan B Network.
Promoting RWA and Self-Custody
RWA (Real World Assets) refers to a mechanism that tokenizes physical assets such as real estate and securities on the blockchain, making them tradable.
ANAP is conducting RWA proof-of-concept experiments utilizing Blockstream's Bitcoin L2 network, the Liquid Network, and plans to further develop this initiative through Higashi's participation.
In addition to RWA projects, the company intends to research and implement methods for safely managing Bitcoin through self-custody as a corporation.
ANAP has expressed its intention to strengthen collaboration with international networks such as Blockstream and Plan B Network, aiming for the global expansion of its Bitcoin business.
