Walmart, Eli Lilly, Carnival Corporation, Arcos Dorados, and Cigna have opposed the tokenized stock trading plan between OKX and the Intercontinental Exchange. Currently, the number of companies opposing the plan has risen to 38, up from an initially proposed 62. According to the five-year exemption granted by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the relevant companies have 30 days to raise objections to third-party initiated stock tokenization activities. If they remain silent during this period, it is deemed as consent to such transactions, and there is no mechanism to withdraw the permission afterward.
