User Loses Approximately $305,000 DAI in Address Poisoning Attack
A user has suffered a loss of approximately $305,000 DAI due to an address poisoning attack. The attacker generated a fake address that matched the prefix and suffix of the victim's expected transfer address, and sent small amounts of dust funds to the victim, luring them into mistakenly copying the address from their transaction history. Such attacks have automated the processes of target discovery, address forgery, and money laundering through mixers. Users should verify the complete address and conduct small tests before making large transfers.
