Grynkewich stated that if a naval destroyer cannot be obtained, a choice must be made between defending the US homeland and defending Israel. A US defense official noted that Grynkewich's warning aligns with previous reports from senior US military leaders, indicating that such a situation may arise as theater commanders compete for limited resources and weapons.
