The State Owes Heat Suppliers 75 Billion UAH for Tariffs
The unreimbursed difference in tariffs for heat and communal energy enterprises (TKE) has exceeded 75 billion UAH, creating difficulties in preparing for the heating season. The critical financial state of the industry is linked to unprofitable tariffs, lack of compensation, and account seizures. During an online roundtable, challenges for stable winter passage were discussed. The Kramatorsk CHPP has a state debt of 1 billion UAH, while the payment level from consumers is 15.6% of 1 billion UAH. The municipal enterprise "Mykolaivoblteploenergo" has not changed its tariff for more than six years, which covers only 50% of the cost of the service, and has faced fines of 180 million UAH during the restructuring of a gas debt of 170 million UAH. The Association of Cities of Ukraine is preparing an appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada demanding the unblocking of TKE accounts, allocating funds for tariff difference compensation, and simplifying procurement procedures. "Naftogaz" and "Teploenergo" have agreed on the restructuring of a debt of 1 billion UAH for stable heat supply.
