Tether Q2 Financial Report: Net Profit of $1.5 Billion, Assets Exceed Liabilities by $4.11 Billion
Tether's Q2 2026 financial report reveals that as of June 30, the issuance of USDT reached approximately $184.6 billion, an increase of about $446 million from the end of Q1, with market share rising to over 60%. The net operating profit for the second quarter was approximately $1.5 billion, primarily derived from U.S. Treasury bonds and repurchase agreements. At the end of the quarter, total assets were approximately $187.751 billion, with total liabilities around $183.642 billion, of which liabilities related to issued digital tokens were about $183.622 billion, resulting in assets exceeding liabilities by approximately $4.11 billion. During the quarter, the company reduced its secured loan exposure by about $2.38 billion, a decrease of 15%; at the same time, it increased its holdings of physical gold by 14 tons, bringing its total gold holdings to over 146 tons. Tether remains one of the largest buyers and holders of U.S. Treasury bonds globally, with the number of global users increasing by over 30 million this quarter. CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that despite fluctuations in the gold and Bitcoin markets, USDT continues to be fully backed, and the company is advancing the audit process with the Big Four accounting firms.
