Strategy Buys 4603 BTC for 370 Million USD
Strategy purchased 4603 BTC for 369.7 million USD in the week ending August 30, at an average price of 80318 USD per coin. This acquisition increased its total Bitcoin holdings to 845050 BTC, acquired for 63730000000 USD at an average price of 75412 USD. The purchase was funded by issuing stock, raising 602.8 million USD net of commissions through the sale of 4531421 MSTR shares. Of the raised funds, 369.7 million USD was allocated for Bitcoin, 151.8 million USD for STRC buybacks, 50.7 million USD for dividends, and 30 million USD for its USD Cash account. Between May and August, Strategy sold 6948 BTC for approximately 432.5 million USD, averaging 62250 USD per coin, and has now repurchased at a 29% higher price. The company established a Digital Credit Capital Framework to authorize up to 1250 million USD in Bitcoin sales for dividends and buybacks after its stock fell below 100 USD in June. As of August 30, the USD Reserve for preferred dividends and debt interest was 5.1 billion USD, with an unrestricted USD Cash account of 1.61 billion USD, totaling 6.71 billion USD and a net leverage of 0.0%. Additionally, Strategy repurchased 1557177 STRC shares for 151.8 million USD, leaving 364.8 million USD of the 1000 million USD digital credit repurchase authorization.
