The State Tax Service and the Border Guard Service have implemented an automated data exchange regarding the border crossing of citizens and vehicles. The systems provide instant responses, allowing for quick verification of tax residency and detection of fraudulent documents without changing the exit rules from the country. The automated access eliminates the need for paper correspondence between agencies. Previously, requests were sent by mail, and border guards processed them manually. Now, an electronic request is generated by an official, and the response is provided by the system within seconds. Acting Head of the Border Guard Service Valery Vavryniuk noted that the digitalization of inter-agency interaction is a key direction for the development of state institutions. The Tax Service uses information about border crossings to determine tax residency and prevent fraudulent operations. Data exchange is conducted through the National Confidential Communication System in compliance with security rules, including point-by-point request formation and the use of qualified electronic signatures. Having tax issues is not a basis for prohibiting exit from the country.
