Stable Dollar, Caution at 18% and Pressure on Peso Yields

The financial market operates this Wednesday, September 9, with short-term rates declining and a contained dollar. The one-day caution stands at around 18% annually, which reduces the yield of money market mutual funds and affects the rates of virtual wallets for interest-bearing balances. The caution is a key reference for the cost of short-term money, and its decrease impacts the returns of money markets. Despite the drop in yields, the wholesale exchange rate remains around 1510, nearly 25% below the ceiling of the exchange rate band. Futures project a wholesale dollar of 1527 by the end of September and 1609.50 for December. The MEP remains around 1528 and the CCL close to 1591. Attention is focused on the behavior of the curves in pesos before the first auction of the month, which will be announced on Thursday, a day before the inflation data for August, projected at 1.7% for August and 1.8% for September. The Finance menu will be key to evaluating the rates and terms that the Treasury will seek to validate.
