South Korea ruling party to meet top five exchanges on Oct 30
South Korea’s ruling Democratic Party will meet with the heads of the five largest crypto exchanges on Oct 30 in the morning to address internal differences ahead of a fourth delay in virtual asset taxation. The meeting, led by the party’s policy committee, will also include Democratic Party lawmakers from the planning and finance committee responsible for reviewing the tax-delay bill. An industry official indicated that the meeting was arranged on short notice to gather industry perspectives and explain the necessity for another delay, given the significant political implications of postponing taxation again. Participants have been encouraged to speak candidly about the challenges involved.
