Solana DEX Records Daily Trading Volume of $17.04 Billion
The daily trading volume of Solana (SOL) based decentralized exchanges (DEX) reached $17.04 billion. This figure, according to DeFiLlama's aggregation, is considered an indicator showing the current center of crypto trading. DEXs are exchanges that allow token swaps through smart contracts without a central intermediary, and this number indicates that Solana is recognized as a trading platform where actual on-chain transactions occur, surpassing Ethereum (ETH) as a high-speed Layer 1. Low fees and fast execution speeds contribute to this, facilitating small transactions and high-frequency trading. However, the weekly trading volume of DEXs has shown a 9.8% decrease compared to the previous week, suggesting the need to consider both trading concentration and quality. While an increase in trading volume signifies user activity and liquidity growth, it is difficult to assess network strength based solely on volume, as it may include speculative funds or short-term trades. Therefore, what is crucial is not the peak of daily trading volume but the sustainability of that volume. The next test will be when users shift to the lending market and stablecoin liquidity, potentially transforming trading volume into a sustainable strength for the ecosystem.
