Russia Attacks 'Optima-Pharm' Distributor Warehouse in Kyiv
On the night of September 8, the Russian army attacked the warehouse of one of the largest pharmaceutical distributors, 'Optima-Pharm', in Kyiv with two ballistic missiles. The warehouse, located on the left bank, was empty at the time of the strike, and there were no casualties reported. This warehouse had already been attacked in the fall of 2025, when the warehouse complex and the 'Optima-Pharm' office were destroyed as a result of a strike on October 25. The total losses from the destroyed warehouse and products were estimated at over 100 million dollars. In October 2025, representatives of 'Optima-Pharm' reported that the volume of destroyed products accounted for about 20% of the monthly stock of medicines for the whole of Ukraine. Additionally, on September 3, the Russian army struck the logistics complex 'Biokon' in the Boryspil district, leading to a complete halt in the shipment and receipt of medicines by the company. Strikes on warehouses may cause local and temporary shortages of medications in pharmacies.
