Ripple Expands XRP Ledger for Tokenized Real Assets Worth $3.97 Billion

Ripple is expanding the XRP Ledger as a foundation for the issuance and management of tokenized assets for institutions. The value of real assets on the XRP Ledger has been estimated at $3.97 billion, although the actual transfer volume has decreased. Ripple's CEO, Monica Long, recently stated that the use of blockchain in the banking sector has moved from 'pilot to production' over the past year. According to RWA.xyz, the asset value of the XRP Ledger is $3.97 billion, and the number of RWA holders has increased by 23.90% to 197 compared to 30 days ago, but the transfer amount during the same period has decreased by 96.88% to $18.15 million. The total market capitalization of RippleUSD is $1.4 billion, with a native issuance of 759,671,208.29 XRP on the XRP Ledger. Ripple explained that RippleUSD is designed to maintain a 1:1 value with the US dollar. Ripple has announced its first collaboration with Aviva Investors to tokenize traditional fund structures on the XRP Ledger. Additionally, it is expanding its institutional tokenization infrastructure through ZILO and Licuido. However, the number of RWA holders on the XRP Ledger remains at 197, indicating a gap between the scale of asset inclusion and actual usage.
