Prometheum, HashKey, and Velocity Sign MOU to Promote Tokenized US Stocks
Prometheum Capital's subsidiary Prometheum Capital LLC, HashKey Digital Asset Group, and Velocity Capital have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a distribution channel for tokenized US stocks to qualified international investors through a registered securities brokerage infrastructure with the US SEC. Prometheum Capital and Velocity Capital will provide custody, trade execution, and clearing services, while HashKey will act as the international distributor. The tokenized US stocks will be backed by real shares held in custody by the Depository Trust Company (DTC), with eligible securities including components of the Russell 1000 Index, major index ETFs, and US Treasury bonds. The DTCC's tokenization service is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. The parties plan to finalize the agreement negotiations and technical integration in the coming months, with the official launch of related services still subject to regulatory approval.
