Pirate Chain reports 39.8 million ARRR illicitly minted due to validation flaw
Pirate Chain (ARRR) announced on Oct. 15 that approximately 39.8 million ARRR, valued at about 9440000美元, was illicitly minted following vulnerabilities in its transaction validation process. This amount represents around 20% of ARRR's total supply. The attacker exploited two vulnerabilities to bypass issuance checks and misinterpret output scripts. The minted funds were transferred to the shielded pool, complicating the tracing of funds due to the anonymity of shielded transactions. Pirate Chain has requested major exchanges to suspend ARRR deposits and withdrawals, and dPoW operators have temporarily halted transaction validation. The development team is preparing recovery measures. At the time of reporting, ARRR was trading at 0.2372美元, down 14.82%.
