Pirate Chain Enforces Upgrade to Version v6.0.14, Chain Rollback Removes 39.82 Million Counterfeit ARRR
Pirate Chain has released a mandatory update to version v6.0.14, requiring all users, nodes, miners, mining pools, exchanges, and service providers to immediately stop using the old version and upgrade, or they will be unable to continue operating. Previously, on October 14, attackers exploited two validation vulnerabilities to mint approximately 39.82 million counterfeit ARRR in the transparent Coinbase pool, resulting in a supply inflation of about 20%. The relevant vulnerabilities have been fixed in the new version. The community has reached a consensus to roll back the chain to block 4,176,944 to completely remove the counterfeit coins and restore supply integrity, with the maximum supply still limited to 200 million coins.
