Palantir CEO Points Out AI Risks Lie with Developers, Not AI Itself
Palantir CEO Alex Karp stated in a letter to shareholders released on November 2 that there are alignment issues in AI development, but the real risk lies in the consistency of AI developers' goals with the public interest of humanity, rather than the technology itself. Karp emphasized the need to be wary of large AI developers like Anthropic and OpenAI pursuing selfish goals that could threaten human interests. He has previously criticized these developers for attempting to absorb core data and technological advantages of enterprise clients into their own AI.
