Old Bitcoin Wallets Move 202.84 Bitcoin Worth $15.7 Million
A bitcoin wallet from 2011 has moved 40 bitcoin after nearly fifteen years, originally worth about $120, now over $3 million. Between August 29 and September 4, four old wallets became active, totaling 202.84 bitcoin, worth approximately $15.7 million. The largest wallet, containing 146.06 bitcoin, had been inactive since November 2013. Two other wallets from 2011 moved 10 and 6.78 bitcoin, respectively. One of the wallets sent 6.78 bitcoin to the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, which may indicate a potential sale. This marks the second wave of old wallet activity in a short period, following a previous movement of six wallets that collectively moved over $40 million in bitcoin.
