Offchain Clarifies That Remaining Locked ARB Accounts for Only 7.7%

Offchain Labs co-founder Steven Goldfeder clarified on the X platform that there is a misunderstanding in the market regarding the supply structure of ARB tokens, as some data includes the tokens held by the DAO as "locked." The unlocking plan for ARB investors and team members is nearing completion, and when all tokens are unlocked in March next year, the remaining locked tokens will account for only 7.7% of the total ARB supply. Goldfeder added that a large portion of the remaining ARB is actually stored in the Arbitrum DAO treasury, which currently holds approximately 2.84 billion ARB. These tokens are not locked in the traditional sense, as their circulation is determined by votes from ARB holders, and the DAO can only access this portion of assets through governance votes from other token holders.
