"Niu Lai" Sparks A-Share Bull Market Craze, Jinniu Chemical and Others Make Top Five
On August 17, the Chinese animated film "Niu Lai" created a buzz during the market's closure, propelling A-share stocks with the character "Niu" to the top five on the Tonghuashun hot stock list. Jinniu Chemical, Bull Group, and Tongniu Information all made the list, with Jinniu Chemical firmly in first place. Netizens in stock forums referred to these stocks as "concept stocks" of "Niu Lai" and shared their movie tickets as a show of support. However, some users cautioned that investment should be approached with caution, labeling these concept stocks as emotional speculation. Some investors expressed disappointment with the film's content, warning that entering blindly could lead to being trapped. On its opening day, "Niu Lai" was screened only 251 times, attracting just 122 viewers and earning a box office of 3,420 yuan. Over ten days, the total box office reached 7,705 yuan, with a maximum daily audience of just over ten. Currently, the box office has surged to several million. According to Lighthouse Professional Edition data, "Niu Lai" has entered the top 10 of the Chinese animated film box office rankings for 2026, currently reporting 4.648 million yuan, ranking ninth.
