Moose Begins Public Testing on Monad
The on-chain transaction aggregator Moose, developed by FastLane, has entered public testing on Monad. Moose is designed to connect the liquidity of multiple decentralized exchanges (DEXs) within a single transaction. Alex Watts, co-founder of FastLane, stated that Moose aims to address the malicious quoting issues that can arise with prop AMMs and Uniswap (UNI) v4 hooks. Unlike traditional transaction aggregators, Moose does not go through servers, trusted execution environments (TEEs), RFQs, or transaction simulations; instead, the transaction path is selected based on the real-time on-chain state after the transaction is included in a block. Moose combines execution with each DEX within the same transaction, improving transaction execution speed, margin safety for spot trading, and privacy. Monad is an Ethereum-compatible layer 1 blockchain, and its transaction propagation and inclusion order may differ from a single memory pool-based network. FastLane has indicated that Monad's gas costs are less than one cent and mentioned plans to introduce threshold encryption memory pools for privacy, although no specific release date was provided. This public testing is part of an effort to build trading infrastructure on Monad, and actual trading volume and execution quality will need to be confirmed in future materials.
