Michael Saylor Posts Bitcoin Chart, Signals Possible Purchase
Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy, posted a Bitcoin (BTC) chart on Sunday with the caption "Even more orange." This type of post typically precedes the company's announcements of new Bitcoin purchases. Strategy is the largest public company holding Bitcoin and reports its purchases in filings with US regulators, usually on Mondays. Last Sunday, Saylor's chart indicated potential purchases, following a similar post the previous week that preceded a 950 BTC buy worth about 76000000美元, bringing its total holdings to 846000 BTC. However, not all signals lead to purchases, as the prior week showed no Bitcoin bought or sold. Strategy has also engaged in sales this year, totaling 6916 BTC between June 30 and August 10. Additionally, the company spent 174000000美元 buying back STRC, a preferred share. Currently, Bitcoin trades near 84974美元, up 1% over 24 hours, approximately 13% above Strategy's average cost of 75416美元 per coin. Monday's filing will clarify if the recent purchase indicates a return to steady buying.
