KNDS Relaunches Its IPO for September
KNDS plans a series of meetings with investors in anticipation of relaunching its initial public offering (IPO) in the second half of September. No official date, price, or valuation range has been communicated. The IPO was postponed on July 1, just a week after its announcement, due to volatility in the defense sector. A disagreement over valuation also hindered the operation, with institutional investors unwilling to exceed €12 billion, while shareholders hoped for €18 to €20 billion. KNDS, formed in 2015 from the merger of Nexter and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, is a key player in European rearmament, with projected revenue of €4.4 billion in 2025, an increase of nearly 16%. Its order book exceeds €23 billion. After the IPO, the capital will be shared between the French and German states, each holding 40%, with the remaining 20% being offered on the market. The IPO is reserved for institutional investors, with no offer for the general public. Once listed, KNDS shares will be traded on Euronext Paris and can be purchased by individuals.
