Kakao Pay Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Ondo and Dinari for Tokenization
Kakao Pay has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ondo Finance and Dinari to explore the overseas distribution and tokenization of South Korean listed stocks. The parties plan to establish a joint working group within this year to discuss the procurement and holding of underlying South Korean stocks through comprehensive accounts for foreign investors, the issuance and redemption of tokens backed by stocks, as well as the reconciliation of balances between stocks and tokens, and the representation of shareholder rights such as dividends and voting rights on the blockchain. The collaboration with Ondo will focus on leveraging its global distribution network and tokenization infrastructure, while Dinari will concentrate on the proof of concept (PoC) for technical feasibility.
