Iran Considers Attacking Ukrainian Ports as Diplomatic Efforts Ease Tensions
Iran had considered attacking a Ukrainian seaport in response to Ukraine's strike on an Iranian vessel, but diplomatic efforts have temporarily eased the situation. Ukraine attacked an Iranian commercial cargo ship in the Caspian Sea last Saturday, resulting in the death of a sailor. Sources expect Iran to launch a ballistic missile carrying a small warhead at one of Ukraine's Black Sea ports. After a call with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Araqchi stated that the Ukrainian Foreign Minister described the attack on the cargo ship as unintentional.
