INDODAX Joins AFSI for Inclusive Crypto Literacy

PT Indodax Nasional Indonesia (INDODAX) officially became a member of the Indonesian Sharia Fintech Association (AFSI) as of October 20, 2026. This membership aims to expand the dialogue regarding crypto assets from a sharia perspective and enhance public participation in the digital ecosystem. AFSI, appointed by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), serves as a collaborative platform for sharia fintech in Indonesia. INDODAX CEO, William Sutanto, stated that this membership opens up a dialogue space between the digital asset industry and sharia finance. He emphasized the importance of a comprehensive understanding of the digital asset industry, including its benefits, risks, and consumer protection. Previously, the Tarjih and Tajdid Assembly of PP Muhammadiyah stated that Bitcoin and other crypto assets could be accepted as valuable property under certain conditions. Similar views were also expressed at the 35th Congress of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). William stressed that literacy should encompass the characteristics of assets and risks, as well as encourage the public to Do Your Own Research (DYOR) before investing. INDODAX also continues to expand education through the INDODAX Academy, which provides materials on crypto assets and risk management.
