Government Allocates 100 Million UAH for Scientific Research in Business and Defense
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is launching a mechanism to support joint applied research and development for the technological business in the interests of defense and the economy. In 2023, 100 million UAH has been allocated for the program. The main funding areas include security and defense, energy, transportation, medicine, the agricultural sector, IT, and robotics. The program envisions collaboration between researchers and businesses to create technological solutions. The executors — teams from state universities and research institutions — develop products tailored to the specific needs of companies. The state compensates 50% to 65% of the project cost depending on the size of the enterprise, with the remainder financed by the contracting company. The goal of the program is to assist businesses from idea to finished solution. The initiative aims to expand the capabilities of domestic science and provide Ukrainian businesses with necessary developments.
