Ethereum Foundation launches blockchain guide site for public institutions
The Ethereum Foundation has launched a website to guide governments, international organizations, and NGOs on using Ethereum as digital public infrastructure. The site features an overview of Ethereum, real-world adoption cases, and practical materials. The foundation emphasizes that Ethereum, as a shared infrastructure not controlled by any single entity, can help public bodies maintain independence, verify records independently, and collaborate effectively. One example highlighted is Bhutan’s national digital identity system, where individuals store digital credentials in personal wallets and disclose only necessary information. Service providers can verify the authenticity of these credentials without exposing personal data on-chain. Additionally, the foundation developed an Ethereum-based proof of concept to test how aid groups could coordinate support efforts while protecting sensitive personal information.
