CZ Points Out That Self-Custody Wallet Vulnerability Fixes Cannot Protect Existing Wallets

Binance co-founder CZ stated on the X platform regarding the attack on Coldcard wallets that fixing vulnerabilities does not eliminate the risks for wallets that have already been created, and developers cannot directly contact users who utilize isolated devices. He emphasized that users may still face attack risks before taking action, highlighting that the self-custody model requires users to take on more security responsibilities.
