Catalyst Completes $30 Million Seed Round Financing Led by Sequoia Capital
AI trading agent startup Catalyst has announced the completion of a $30 million seed round financing, led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Jump Trading, Peak XV, Lux Capital, AntiFund, Coinbase, and Premji Invest. Catalyst was co-founded by Justin Zheng and Dylan Iskandar in 2025, aiming to assist ordinary investors in formulating and executing trading strategies through AI agents. Users can express their investment goals in natural language, and the AI agent will convert these into trading strategies, handling processes such as asset selection, cost optimization, and trade execution, although the final trades still require user confirmation. Currently, Catalyst has completed a round of testing aimed at high-frequency trading users.
