Bitwise, Triton One, and SOL Strategies Become First Third-Party Node Operators for Jito BAM
Jito has announced that Bitwise, Triton One, and SOL Strategies will be the first third-party BAM node operators to go live on the BAM testnet. Previously, all BAM nodes were operated by Jito. Jito has set three phases for the operators to access: the first phase is the testnet, where operators will deploy BAM nodes on bare metal hardware within confidential virtual machines. The three operators have completed hardware preparations and are currently in the deployment and access phase; the second phase is the early mainnet, where testnet nodes will migrate to the mainnet, open only to the operators' own BAM validators, expected to launch by the end of 2026; the third phase is the full mainnet, where nodes will be open to any validator, aiming for early Q1 2027. The advancement of the third phase depends on two functionalities under development: a proof mechanism and a validator to check whether block producers execute transactions in the order scheduled by BAM nodes, as well as an automatic banning feature, Autobahn, based on ordering violations. The first operators joining this access will not receive additional economic incentives, and the process for new operators to join and the economic model for maintaining node operations will be announced later.
