Bitgo Completes Acquisition of Nydig's Institutional Trading Business

Bitgo Holdings has completed the acquisition of Nydig's institutional trading business and related assets. With this transaction, Bitgo expands its service offerings for institutional clients, while Nydig can focus on vertically integrated development and Bitcoin mining. Bitgo plans to enhance its funding capabilities and derivatives functionality to expand its institutional market platform and complement its existing trading products. Approximately 30 Nydig employees will join Bitgo, and Nydig's institutional client trading relationships will also be transferred. Bitgo's CEO, Mike Belshé, stated that this transaction will provide a broader range of services to institutional clients. Nydig's institutional trading business offers derivatives and financial solutions, and Bitgo has strengthened its capabilities to expand its customer base through this acquisition. Pete Janney, Bitgo's Head of Financial Infrastructure, expressed his excitement about being able to provide innovative solutions to clients. Nydig's CEO, Tejas Shah, anticipates that the collaboration with Bitgo will provide a smooth transition for clients and employees.
