Bitcoin Has Not Fallen Below Realized Price During the Bear Market
Bitcoin has not repeated the movement from previous bear markets, not falling below the Realized Price level. Analysts have noted that in the current cycle, which has been ongoing since 2013, Bitcoin has not found itself below this level during a bear market for the first time in history. Previously, in 2015, BTC spent 302 days below the Realized Price, in 2018 it was 134 days, and in 2022 it was 179 days. Currently, the counter shows zero. The closest Bitcoin came to breaking this level was on June 30, when the price dropped to $58,526, while the realized price was $53,081, meaning BTC remained 10.3% above this price. The Realized Price is the average price level at which Bitcoins last changed hands. In previous bear markets, falling below this level was characteristic of the capitulation phase. The current situation may be a result of a change in market structure and a greater institutional presence. However, the lack of a drop below the Realized Price does not rule out such a movement in the future, indicating differences in the current bear cycle.
