ARK Invest's Director of Digital Assets Criticizes Solana and Ethereum Proposals for Ignoring Competitiveness
Lorenzo pointed out that the latest improvement proposals from Solana and Ethereum are surprising, as the market has shown that projects like Hyperliquid pose strong competition. However, the relevant communities are still adjusting inflation arrangements and CU restrictions, which may lead to a decline in application competitiveness. He believes that L1 should prioritize how to enhance network competitiveness, promote growth, and attract more consumer-level applications and users. Lorenzo emphasized that Solana should not be entangled in the accumulation of value for token holders and cash flow at this time, and it is not appropriate to increase the costs for application developers. They should first prove that they can increase the size of the pie by 100 times before discussing how to allocate it. Although in the future, there will be a need to price high-resource-consuming transactions more precisely and address the issue of token value accumulation, if market share is seized by HYPE, there will be no value to accumulate. The current priority should be to increase the size of the pie by 100 times.
