Alibaba Accelerates Data Center Expansion in Europe and the Middle East, Establishing Cloud Regions in the Next 12 Months

Alibaba is accelerating its data center expansion in Europe and the Middle East, driving its 20 gigawatt global infrastructure development. Alibaba executive Li Feifei stated at the Cloud Summit that the first cloud regions will be established in Turkey, Finland, and the Netherlands within the next 12 months. At the same time, the company will expand its data center layout in Malaysia, Germany, the UAE, France, and Hong Kong, enhancing its ability to provide localized cloud and AI services. Alibaba's global cloud network covers Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, with recent new facilities opened in Brazil and France aimed at providing generative AI services to local businesses. Li Feifei emphasized that Alibaba is committed to collaborating with the global ecosystem to make AI more scalable, practical, and accessible for enterprises.
