A total of 16600000000 USD in large positions is awaiting third-quarter expiry in the Bitcoin and Ethereum options markets, with bullish positioning dominating. BTC options account for approximately 14730000000 USD, or 186000 contracts, with a put/call ratio of 0.52. The max pain price is calculated at 72000 USD, while call options are concentrated around 70000 USD and in the upside range between 85000 USD and 100000 USD. ETH options total 1920000000 USD, or 756000 contracts, with a put/call ratio of 0.57 and a max pain price of 2200 USD. The largest concentration of call options, 43000 contracts, is clustered around the 3000 USD level. Call option positioning in both assets significantly exceeds puts, indicating that market participants are favoring further gains after the third-quarter expiry.
