WEEX Token (WXT) Soars 103% in 2025, Best Performer Among Major Exchange Tokens
Recently, the price of WXT Token , WEEX’s platform token, has continued to hit record highs. On May 14, it reached an intraday peak of $0.034614, marking a 246% increase from its initial offering price and a 103% gain year-to-date in 2025.
According to data from CoinMarketCap (CMC), WXT was among the first tokens to hit a new all-time high since the market recovery in April 2025. Among the 25 major centralized exchange (CEX) tokens with an FDV (Fully Diluted Valuation) of over $100 million, only 9 have posted positive returns in 2025 so far. These are:
- WXT (103.16%)
- GT (32.86%)
- FMC (17.76%)
- UZX (16.87%)
- OKB (11.48%)
- CNX (9.61%)
- KCS (8.39%)
- NKYC (6.22%)
- KPK (5.62%)
WXT has risen 103% in 2025, making it the top performer among major platform coins.
Launched on the WEEX platform on July 19, 2024, WXT has achieved a 169% return in under 10 months. This performance stands out in the broader crypto market, where Bitcoin gained 52%, Ethereum fell 23%, and BNB rose 17% in the same period.
What’s Driving WXT’s Rapid Rise?
- Comprehensive Ecosystem Empowerment
As one of the top 10 global derivatives exchanges, WEEX serves over 6 million registered users, with a peak daily trading volume exceeding $20 billion. It supports over 900 coins and 1,500 trading pairs, ranking second globally in contract pair volume, with industry-leading trading depth and liquidity.
WXT is the cornerstone of the WEEX ecosystem, designed to engage loyal users and partners, fostering shared prosperity. WXT holders enjoy benefits like WE-Launch airdrops for new token listings, up to 70% trading fee discounts, up to 20% copy-trading profit sharing, and rewards from campaigns such as “Sunshine Rewards” and “Million WXT Airdrop.” In the future, WEEX plans to introduce Launchpad programs, on-chain application expansions, platform governance rights, fee deductions, enhanced referral commissions, and more perks to deliver long-term value to WXT holder
- Innovative Burn Mechanism Sparks Market Enthusiasm
Per the WXT whitepaper, WEEX began quarterly buyback-and-burn programs in 2025, targeting 4 billion tokens (40% of the 10 billion total supply), valued at approximately $120 million. This mechanism aims to reduce circulating supply, enhance scarcity, and bolster WXT’s value, driving its long-term growth potential.

- WEEX’s Rapidly Growing Global Influence
In November 2024, WEEX appointed English football legend Michael Owen as its global brand ambassador to accelerate global market expansion and mainstream adoption. In April 2025, WEEX secured a Bitcoin Service Provider (BSP) license from the El Salvador government, further strengthening its global compliance framework. Concurrently, WEEX established its global headquarters in Dubai’s core financial district to provide safer, more transparent trading services. Through initiatives like the Masons program and Global Ambassador recruitment, WEEX has partnered with over 1,000 KOLs and global communities.
These efforts have enhanced WEEX’s brand influence, compliance progress, and user trust, driving broader global demand and value support for its platform coin, WXT.
Market Transition Creates a Window of Opportunity
According to 0xScope data, Binance’s market share fell from 51.2% in 2023 to 41.68% in 2024. Meanwhile, second-tier exchanges like Bitget, Gate.io, Bybit, and WEEX have rapidly risen, with their platform coins delivering strong returns.
However, compared to mature platform coins like BNB, WXT, as a newer entrant launched less than a year ago, has a relatively low market cap. CMC data shows WXT’s circulating market cap at just $134 million, while BNB, LEO, BGB, and OKB stand at $93.27 billion, $8.15 billion, $5.67 billion, and $4.29 billion, respectively. In terms of FDV, WXT’s $206 million is also far below its peers.
WXT remains in its early stages, with its market cap not fully reflecting WEEX’s rapidly growing user base and trading volume, indicating a significant valuation disconnect. This suggests substantial room for value appreciation, making WXT an ideal choice for long-term investors who prefer entering at low prices and waiting for explosive growth.
